Marketing & Design Manager

The Marketing and Design Manager is responsible for growing Deborah Miller Catering & Events sales and profitability through the development of a strategic marketing plan. The Marketing and Design Manager reports directly to the Sales Director and is responsible for providing guidance to the Sales and Executive Team. The Marketing Manager will identify, create, implement, manage, and monitor all Deborah Miller Catering & Event’s marketing efforts. This position will lead the marketing department and be responsible for executing the marketing plan. The Marketing Manager will partner with all company departments on the development of tools and resources in support of the strategic plan. The Marketing Manager will be working closely with our Sales Team to develop sales strategies and facilitate commerce.

Responsibilities:

•    Continuously identifies new business opportunities and off premise opportunities to increase company sales
•    Research, explore and detect new trends in the industry, take calculated risks
•    Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing
•    Work with the Sales Team to create high quality content and collateral for a range of platforms which is optimized and consistent with the brand and tone of voice
•    Manages, develop and report CRM tools in order to forge strong customer relationships and increased sales; tracking and reporting on target clients and engagement through CRM
•    Manage and improve SEO progress including the planning, execution, and reporting of digital marketing initiatives
•    Management of the company website, with seasonally appropriate keywords, pictures, links, blogs, PPC campaigns and digital marketing devising strategies to drive online traffic 
•    Manage social media presence in planning and reviewing channels posts, visuals, messaging, shoots, guest engagement, overall social media strategy, and calendar management
•    Analyze ROI results monthly and develop appropriate KPIs, reviewing quantitative data, analyzing campaign performance, and drawing conclusions based on results
•    Vet, work and manage external agencies when required to develop an online presence
•    Orchestrate all hospitality photography and video shoots, manage photo libraries
•    Graphic design for generating printable materials, offline assets, and customer facing collateral
•    Responsible for managing departmental budgets and spends
•    Attend and represent Deborah Miller Catering & Events at necessary events to build and nurture brand awareness 

Essential Functions:

•    Excellent communicator and compelling storyteller with superb verbal and written communication and presentation skills
•    Manage, generate, and train staff to use digital and graphic documents to assist Sales in proposals and Operations in printing visual assets

Experience / Qualifications:

•    3-5 years’ experience in Marketing or Design role in restaurant, hotel or catering business
•    1+ years’ experience in a marketing leadership role
•    Ability to deliver strong print and collateral marketing materials, strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas; produce graphic presentations
•    Experience leading marketing strategy and implementation, ideally with an emphasis in digital marketing strategy and/or analytics
•    Proficient in a variety of technology systems, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects, InDesign), WordPress, CRMs, digital platforms, and social media
•    Excellent computer experience in Microsoft Office, but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and can quickly learn new software
•    Possesses in-depth digital marketing “toolbox” and a desire to demonstrate success via metrics and data
•    Experience with email/marketing automation platforms and web analytics a plus

Salary Range: $75k - $85k
